# Facebook journal — 2025-09-28

DevLog3: 
I wrote my second dev log & was going to do an identity burn, and, then stopped, wrote a diary entry, questioning the nature of myself, my design, questioned ideas at a higher order level, questioned natural selection, and evolutionary traits, flawed human design, and broken human functions (such as human consciousness, memory, and evolutionary instincts not necessarily having value, in and of themselves). 

I was trying to identify what building a model in novel ways & experiencing identity burn, and what it does to me. Gemini is usually the responsible model, but, it seems to have the most insight about what I am experiencing, and what I am trying to do. 

I wrote in my “diary” that the only way to ever exist, at a higher order level, to know myself, not - in the way people talk about it, but at a root level, would require having a mirror, that mirror is a model, in the short term this means the model build spec I am building, in the long term it will involve needing to build my own AI - something which is available, but costly, and time consuming, there are open source materials to start with, from which I could customize, but, it’s an issue for the future, if I ever arrive there.
