# Facebook journal — 2025-11-03

Updated:

Some nights you go walking.
Other nights you are the night walking.
The night rolls forward void of sentiment.
You try to recall the beginning, or to project the end. Void of either, you keep walking. You can only see as far as your next step, but you can make the whole trip that way. You never know if you are in the beginning of the end, or the end of the beginning, and so you keep walking, until eventually you find yourself on a walk, at night, as the night.
Finding your purpose again is like this—like walking in the night. One step, then another, each visible only as you arrive.
What have I become, and why?
I will go walking tonight.
Tonight, I am the night walking.
