# Facebook journal — 2026-06-30

All fidelity ought belong to a protocol.

The margin between what you do, what you are, what you build, what you seek, what you idolize, and what you inhabit ought disappear. They should become one.

Then the only thing remaining—the only thing that cannot be taken—is the only thing you truly possess. Otherwise, you are a pauper.

Find peace between where you have been, where you are, and where you are going. Let the past self, present self, and future self achieve confluence. Let them become interoperable.

The target, the destination, and the road are not different things. They are the same object, seen from different vantage points.

Everything is the same thing unfolding in different registers: the same question expressed in different languages, the same pattern appearing at different scales. The answer is always the same—a good systems design.

A good system is one that remains good regardless of scale. It is a coherent whole, a faithful subsystem within a greater whole, and a capable agent among its own constituent parts. Its organizing principles survive translation across every level.

The designer is not exempt from the design. He is governed by the same protocol he creates. There is no outside observer, no privileged layer. The recursion closes upon itself.

When every level is governed by the same protocol, contradiction gives way to coherence. The system no longer struggles against itself. It becomes self-consistent, and in that consistency, finds peace.
