# Facebook journal — 2026-07-02

Watch every day sent to end you end unto itself, spite the spite itself, and persist. Life is like the road, while the road has never moved, it has been through every town in the world. The road takes everything from you, save for memory, volition, & mandate. While broken men walk the road, the road has never broken a man. The road takes everything, save for the only things worth keeping. On the walk back, they say there are barbarians at the gates, and yet, how can any man call another a barbarian, after all the barbarism men knew on the road. Truth & logic are the refuge, take them to the end of the road, and they act corrosively against illusions, hope, & things promised, but, never delivered. Hope is hazardous, men can starve on it, waiting for better things to happen. I watched a man starve on it, every day in the mirror, first he drove everyone away, then he turned around, and drove me insane, but, in time we became friends.
