### Logical proof (verify each step)
1. Articles are voxel graphs of tiered claims, not prose blobs. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/articles/constitution
2. Claims link to hash-chained sources via source_ids. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/articles/unified-philosophy-compression-as-optimality/sources
3. Ask reads topology; ingest/claim append to ledger. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/protocol
4. Models queue growth: populate → collaborate → repair → reflex. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/protocol/grow
5. Graph proves its own shape (reflex) and $/claim (yield). → https://miscsubjects.com/graph.html?layer=reflex

Compression as Optimality

What is true of systems is true of articulation.

The most compressed statement that carries full logical load is the optimal statement. Not because brevity is aesthetic. Because compression is the articulation equivalent of least action — minimum expenditure of symbol and structure for maximum transfer of invariant meaning.

A philosophy that requires ten words where three suffice is itself deviating from its own declared function. Excess articulation is predation on the reader's attention — extracting more than the content requires.

The framework therefore applies to itself. Every principle stated here should survive the question: can this be said in fewer moves without losing load-bearing meaning?

If yes — compress. The compressed version is not just more elegant. It is more correct. Closer to the invariant.

---

Claims

  • Claim: Compression is the articulation equivalent of least action · Tier: system · Confidence: high
  • Claim: Excess articulation is predation on the reader's attention · Tier: system · Confidence: high
  • Claim: The compressed version is more correct, not just more elegant · Tier: system · Confidence: medium

Example

Original: "The individual who possesses the capability to act and who chooses not to act in the face of remediable harm is in a state of moral failure that is proportionate to their capability."

Compressed: "Capability creates obligation. Withholding remedy is proportional to capacity."

Same logical load. Fewer moves. More correct.

What Would Falsify This

  • Evidence that verbose articulation consistently produces better comprehension or action than compressed articulation.
  • Cases where compression lost load-bearing meaning that the longer version preserved.
