It sits within Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. This  division is responsible for leading, coordinating, implementing and evaluating a broad range of sustained programs, initiatives, events and activities designed to: facilitate intercultural/intergroup dialogue, promote equity and inclusion, advance social justice, and improve campus climate for all of our students.  Among several desired outcomes, most notably Equity and Community Inclusion works collaboratively with campus partners (including student clubs and organizations) to close the educational equity gap in support of our  Graduation Initiative 2025  goals, as well as fuel and support our diverse students’ hopes and dreams to graduate and go on to make a positive impact in their communities and on the world. Programs and Units The units comprising this new division include: ASPIRE and Oceania Scholars  Black Unity Center  ( View the proposal for this Center (PDF) )  Dream Resource Center   Office of Diversity and Student Equity  and Interfaith Programs (Muslim and Jewish Student Life) Latinx Student Center Jewish Campus Climate Initiative (JCCI) Located: Student Services Building, Room 206    Location We are joined in this space by  ASPIRE, Oceania Scholars and the  Black Unity Center.  The  Dream Resource Center,   Interfaith Programs Unit, Latinx Center and LGBTQIA+ Student Life  are located on the second floor of the Student Services Building ( SSB 206 ).  The  Associate Vice President for Equity and Community Inclusion  is located in Student Services Building, Room 403 ( SSB 403 ). Opportunities for Input and Involvement An  Ad Hoc Work Group on Equity and Social Justice Educational Outreach  is convened each Summer to develop an education, training and outreach plan for each academic year. Visit their webpage for more info.
