Jurisdictions will need to implement an incremental strategy to retire paper titles. This transformation will take time and there are many aspects to electronic titling which must be addressed by jurisdictions, manufacturers, dealers, lenders, and other stakeholders. AAMVA has collected and prepared a toolkit containing a variety of resources to help jurisdictions identify and address areas of needed enhancements. This toolkit and resources provide best practices, legislative issues, electronic titling websites, FAQs, vendor information, available standards, and implementation considerations. AAMVA’s goal is to break down the electronic titling ecosystem into components that can be incrementally implemented. Additional toolkits will be developed to continue guiding jurisdictions forward.
