We can't say enough good things about Marin Humane. Unfortunately, we've had several bat encounters over the past year (in our house!), and every single time they have responded quickly, professionally, and with genuine compassion for both the bats and us. They have always been incredibly informative, taking the time to explain the situation, answer our questions, and help us understand the safest and most humane course of action. Their staff is knowledgeable, calm, and effective, even in stressful situations. What we appreciate most is their commitment to treating wildlife humanely while also prioritizing public safety. It's clear they care deeply about animals and the community they serve.

We came here for the Bay Area Pignic 2025 event and really enjoyed it. There were a guinea pig eating contest, a guinea pig custome contest, and a health check up station, an adopation station, and even raffles. The property is huge and very well maintained. Behind the facility, there's a dog park and a parking lot.

Just may be the best Humane Society in the country! Huge staff, both paid and volunteer. Gorgeous facility, with large and extensive grounds. One of the best financially endowed humane societies in the country. Full of love and goodwill, and lots of potential pets for your happy home! Ongoing educational and socializing activity for you and your family of people and pets!

Very nice visit. The dog did not like us despite the fact that we were ready to get him HOME. But I guess he will not stay forever there, he is too cute. We were happy to visit this shelter driving all the way from Fairfield Green Valley. We are going to miss that dog. Very sweet workers there.

We stopped by on Saturday hoping to find a kitten, and the woman working there went above and beyond to help us. Instead of just saying they didn’t have kittens at that location, she kindly showed us all the nearby Woodlands Pet Food stores that did-- even pulling up maps and their website to show us where to go and which kittens were available. Thanks to her help, we found our perfect little kitty at one of the other locations and adopted her that same day! To make it even better, the adoption fee was waived because it happened to be California Adopt-a-Pet Day ( such an amazing surprise since not all shelters participate). The adoption process at the store was incredibly smooth and easy. Everything was taken care of! Our sweet kitty, Smudge (now Cleocatra), came spayed, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on her vaccines. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We’re completely in love with our sunny little kitty!
