PAIA PIE 🍕 did not disappoint! Yum! 😋 nice crew and Shep, the owner is fantastic. Celebrated a big milestone for years in operation too. Hoping to grab their lunch deal in the future, such great options if you are either looking for a big or small lunch order. Much more than just pizza. They are equipped to cater and do big orders too (and even, last minute!).

Nice spot to grab Thai food. Pad Thai and Yellow Curry dish didn’t disappoint. I have had the coconut curry soup here before and it’s tasty. The tables are fairly close together. With that said, if you plan to have a serious talk, this might not be the best location since voices travel in there and it could be heard verbatim. Eventually, staff turned on music, to help drown out folk’s conversations. 😳 Didn’t mean to listen, but it is a small restaurant….

Pleasantly surprised at our local farmer’s market, every Tuesday in the summer and fall. Supporting small businesses and farmer booths directly, feels really good. On my recent visit, I stopped at the City of Novato booth for their cool signature Farmers Market bag (while supplies last) and then, filled it up with Watsonville berries, spinach filled Pakistani bread/roti, homemade gnocchi and sauce, a pupusa for dinner and Lucky Pop kettle corn. Can’t wait to eat it all! Next time, I will stay to hear music on the green!

Feeling like a nice Asian bowl that’s packed with meat, rice and/or veggies? Make a stop here and order at the counter (or online) and get an awesome amount of ingredients! The inside seating is comfortable and there’s also outside dining tables too with a really nice ambience. I reserved a couple of spots at the Sneak Peek event, day prior to Cindy’s franchise opening. We had the chicken breast teriyaki and steak bowls. Both bowls did not disappoint! The restaurant has a variety of selections from appetizers, sides and meals. I will be eating my way through this menu! Look forward to seeing them cater too. Glad to see Teriyaki Madness in Marin and Novato. ***visited again in August and had a smaller bowl. It hit the spot when you only want a slightly smaller portion. Rowan, behind the counter, had amazing customer service. ***

Consistent. The food is tasty. When I am in a carb mood, linguini and clams with their signature side bread with a nice slab of butter hits the spot. The large pizzas are attractive and oozing with cheese and flavor. A great restaurant that has raised the bar in Novato.

I agree with Scot in an earlier review, 6 days prior. Something has definitely changed. I walked around the entire restaurant to try and find a clean table around 7p but ended up cleaning a table in the back with a napkin. Our meal took a bit longer than normal. The hamburger didn’t have much flavor and fries under cooked. We spent $30 for the meal deal. Around 725p they started to stack the chairs on the middle table. At 735p, over by the drink station and where you pick up your food; the worker started to VIGOROUSLY sweep the carpet and all the dust and dirt was flying (I could see the dirt coming off carpet and landing on the floor). We were seated near this area and that was the cue that we needed to leave NOW. As I exited, I looked to see what time they were closing and it said 830p on the door! I understand that maybe they are watching labor costs but not at the cost of rushing out folks and making an interesting experience. Very odd.

* Returned in October 2025, and bringing up the Star rating. Broth was tasty in the tonkatsu ramen and very filling. Chicken Curry dish was good. They turned off some of the overhead lights to help with a “not so bright room” Good call! * Review when they first opened: Do you ever find yourself craving ramen or something Asian? I am so happy that this spot opened up in Novato! We had the edamame (glad they serve it warm), the curry chicken katsu don and tonkatsu miso ramen. You can control the spiciness in your dish by adding their homemade chili oil!

Love coming to this park for Hot Amphitheater Nights in the Summer presented by the City of Novato. Great family friendly event and kudos for bringing the community to this amazing park. Love how the sun goes behind the trees and you are shaded for a 5p show in the summer. Besides these events, it’s a great spot to picnic, meet, run the stairs, play, etc.

I was feeling like a good poke bowl and of course, decided to make my way to Pearl for lunch. I ordered my poke with all the fixings with tuna/salmon. I sat down at a table and I started to feel warm. I asked if the air conditioner would be turned on. I was told no, so I had to take it to go since it wouldn’t be enjoyable for me to eat it in a stuffy room. I took it to go and devoured it elsewhere. I got a mix of the mild mayo and spicy mayo and all the fixings made it very tasty.

This is such a wonderful, unique store with really nice gifts, artwork, photograph books, items for your home with local Marin talent making amazing pieces. We needed a last minute gift item and we had Mount Tamalpais on our mind for our director that was moving cross country. We found it here! The owner, Ingrid is so nice and even supplies a beautiful bag to take your piece(s) home and/or wraps it for you too. Support local and take a stroll to her shop and visit Downtown Novato!
