Would like to give it 3.5 stars but\n\nThe long: we intended on staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Novato but unfortunately they didn’t have a room. They recommended this as an alternative. Lobby presents well and the front desk was friendly. The location is convenient and there are food and supermarket options very close by. As you complete check in they off-handedly mention there is a parking fee. We’re not in NYC or downtown San Fran and parking is scarce so this is a cheap move. There’s already pardon fees with hotels so just be up front with your pricing\nOnce you get past the front desk, it’s clear that it feels older. The hallways, the elevator, and definitely the rooms. It’s sooo dark in the rooms. Every light has its own switch and each bulb has to be 25 watt max. Think fancy steakhouse dark. Popcorn ceilings, bathtub instead of walk in shower. The outlet by the bathroom didn’t work. Beds are comfortable, pillows so-so.\nWe stayed in a king suite and there’s no table. It has a rolling desk top but only one chair so it’s awkward trying to eat in the room and not be on the bed. Tiny dorm style fridge and sink. Full cabinets but nothing in them.\nA simple update would justify the price. Intermediate size fridge, dinner ware, and a table would bring it to a similar value as the Resindence inn.\nAlso they put us in room 218 and at 6am there was considerable noise from maybe an adjacent housekeeping room? It definitely was not from other guests. To me it sounded like metal rolling carts.\nWe paid for the breakfast when booking online and this is actually a fantastic value. The breakfast was very good and quickly prepared. The bar also did not have any rum for a rum and Coke\nOverall I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless we were able to get a better rate","rating":3,"collection":"Marin public-source records","source_url":"https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m6!14m5!1m4!2m3!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25oQlltTTJVVzQxV1dNeVp6bGtXazFNVkhrNVZWRRAB!2m1!1s0x8085a2c9f4f1eacd:0xb65b9fb91c520c19","observed_at":"2026-10-11T00:10:28.609Z","published_at":"2026-06-12T23:37:13.483973949Z"},"source_id":"src_4e5e00ca6a57724c08c3","updated_at":"2026-11-02T06:47:00.190Z","type":"Feature","geometry":null,"links":{"self":"https://miscsubjects.com/atlas/atoms/atm_google_review_246ab771ddde491787ce4bfd","children":"https://miscsubjects.com/atlas/atoms/atm_google_review_246ab771ddde491787ce4bfd/children","descendants":"https://miscsubjects.com/atlas/atoms/atm_google_review_246ab771ddde491787ce4bfd/descendants","inside":"https://miscsubjects.com/atlas/atoms/atm_google_review_246ab771ddde491787ce4bfd/inside","graph":"https://miscsubjects.com/atlas/graph?start=atm_google_review_246ab771ddde491787ce4bfd","page":"https://miscsubjects.com/graph/atlas:atm_google_review_246ab771ddde491787ce4bfd","json":"https://miscsubjects.com/graph/atlas:atm_google_review_246ab771ddde491787ce4bfd.json"},"ancestors":[],"children_by_kind":[],"edges_out":[{"rel":"about","id":"atm_google_business_89d42fe8d3c778b9d38e98be","kind":"LocalBusiness","name":"Courtyard by Marriott Novato Marin/Sonoma","share":null},{"rel":"authored_by","id":"atm_google_profile_0a914239da111630fa397c66","kind":"Profile","name":"Kevin M","share":null},{"rel":"in_collection","id":"atm_geoid_06041","kind":"County","name":"Marin County","share":null},{"rel":"on_platform","id":"atm_platform_google","kind":"Platform","name":"Google","share":null},{"rel":"review_of_place","id":"atm_google_place_89d42fe8d3c778b9d38e98be","kind":"GooglePlace","name":"Courtyard by Marriott Novato Marin/Sonoma","share":null}],"edges_in":[{"rel":"returned","id":"atm_google_call_1778","kind":"SourceCall","name":"Google Places result · Courtyard by Marriott Novato Marin/Sonoma","share":null},{"rel":"returned","id":"atm_google_call_2781","kind":"SourceCall","name":"Google Places result · Courtyard by Marriott Novato Marin/Sonoma","share":null},{"rel":"returned","id":"atm_google_call_960","kind":"SourceCall","name":"Google Places result · Courtyard by Marriott Novato Marin/Sonoma","share":null}],"edges_in_total":3,"external_ids":[],"source":{"id":"src_4e5e00ca6a57724c08c3","url":"https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m6!14m5!1m4!2m3!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25oQlltTTJVVzQxV1dNeVp6bGtXazFNVkhrNVZWRRAB!2m1!1s0x8085a2c9f4f1eacd:0xb65b9fb91c520c19","license":"Public source;
