Retail during the holidays is extra challenging. Everyone is doing their best.\nHowever, today I go into this See's candy.\nOnly one of the four employees acknowledged me—without a smile or a “be right with you.” As the line stagnated, two other customers left in frustration. When I asked the assistant manager, Hardy or Harlan, to ring me up, he pointed to the line and curtly said, “There’s a line.” His response felt dismissive and rude. As an assistant manager, I expected better attentiveness to customers needing assistance. While I’ve had great experiences with the staff here, particularly the Asian employee who provides excellent service, this visit was disappointing.
