LEARN MORE HERE ELM PAST CONCERTS Our concerts are more than a performance—they're a vibrant celebration of our students’ growth, creativity, and the power of community. 🎶 Danzón No. 2, by Arturo Márquez Composed in 1994 by Mexican composer Arturo Márquz, Danzón No. 2  has become a piece beloved by youth orchestras and professionals alike. The piece highlights the nostalgia of the slow  danzón, a couples dance, with added jubilance of far more percussive and energetic themes. It features numerous demanding solos across the orchestra, as well as complex key and tempo changes. ELM Youth Orchestra performed this as part of our June 2026 concert.
