Project Amigo is a wonderful organization that supports students in and around the Colima Mexico area. It is changing lives for students through education. They are supporting students so they can achieve their goals and improve the lives of themselves, family members and communities. Volunteering for this organization is such a rewarding experience.
I have been to Project Amigo in Colima many times and it is an amazing organization. Unlike many nonprofit organizations where I could donate or give my time, I really feel connected with the students who are part of the program. We make friendships that continue to last and where I can feel the befits of the experiences these young people have for many years!
After attending my first service week in Colima Mexico at Project Amigo, I was impressed with the organization’s mission of supporting willing poor students with the opportunity to continue their education from high school through college. Project Amigo serves small communities in the Colima Mexico area. I enjoy volunteering and supporting this organization. I recommend you check it out.
I have been visiting and doing service weeks at Project Amigo for many years, including family and students when possible. Project Amigo is doing amazing work supporting quality education in the communities in Mexico where they serve.

"excerpt":" --> Project Amigo Non-Profit Mexico top of page DONATE SPONSOR a STUDENT SERVICE WEEKS ABOUT US CONTACT Transforming lifes through education - you can help us turn dreams into careers! Project Amigo helps students in the state of Colima, Mexico achieve the education necessary that improves their quality of life and that of their community. We provide comprehensive scholarships for formal education, school supplies, access to educational assistance centers, homework clubs, and enrichment activities not otherwise available to them. Currently there are over 250 Becarios (Scholars) who benefit from the wrap-around services provided by our Student Services team. In addition each Becario benefits from the love and support of their Sponsor/Padrino/Mentor who writes to them monthly and may attend a Service Week to meet them. Visit the "Get Involved" page to learn more and to sign up to sponsor a Scholar. Our New Initiative: Circle of Giving Our Circles of Giving are named in honor of generous donors whose vision and dedication helped shape the very foundation of Project Amigo. These individuals played a pivotal role in our history, inspiring generations of supporters to join the mission. When you make an unrestricted gift at one of these levels, not only do you become a part of the Circle, but you carry forward their legacy, and you help write our next chapter. Unrestricted gifts are the most powerful tool in our mission, allowing us to act quickly and strategically to meet the emerging and critical needs that could possibly derail our students from their education. Circle of Giving Donation We invite you to see and experience our program in person by joining us on a Volunteer Service Week in the beautiful hillside village of Cofradía de Suchitlan--our headquarters in Colima. You will meet our Becarios/Scholars, can play with our elementary students, experience our Mexican culture, engage in humanitarian service, eat authentic homemade food, and stay in one of our beautiful accommodations! The proceeds from registration fees support the work we do. Be prepared to leave renewed and amazed by the work done at Project Amigo. We host many types of groups on Service Weeks. Participants can be: Families coming together, Rotary Club members volunteering as a group, Youth groups, Businesses bring teams to strengthen their corporate culture and Friends traveling to Cofradia to make a huge difference. We hope that today you will choose to donate, consider becoming a Sponsor and or attend a Service Week knowing that your participation, your support, and partnership gives our Becarios/Scholars the hope and opportunity to become the first in their family to graduate from the University of Colima. Join our Project Amigo familia by signing up for our monthly giving program, simply click on the DONATE button above or mail a check to: Project Amigo 936 B 7th St., #168 Novato, CA 94945.
