This was great, the location is in a park in a neighborhood.(originally Native American) We didn't know what to expect, but had an interesting experience from our docent who explained the background and experiences of the Natives Americans who lived here. There is a museum upstairs, where we could not take pictures. Glad we were able to see 👀 some of the history in pics.

Its a small museum where they have exhbits and explained the Native Americans living in the area. No photography on the first floor, but the second floor have some contemporary art that you can look into and admire. Very educational museum. They also have a recreated village outside the building.

We attended the museum on a third grade field trip. The museum staff Sarah, Hawk, and Rachel we're so informative and explained in great detail specifics about the Miwok Tribe. The kids learned how to weave raffia to make a friendship bracelet. All of the students were engaged with the items inside the museum.
