Our goal is to showcase our country's food heritage by seeking out local, sustainably sourced heirloom varieties of fruit and vegetables. Each heirloom fruit has a story and a unique taste that tells of the place and the season it was grown. By preserving the harvest, you can enjoy these flavors year round and the taste of this moment captured in time. Shop Sun & Cellar Shop Sun & Cellar Preserves Quick View Garlic Dill Pickles $14.00 A customer favorite at Sun and Cellar and our best-selling pickle for a reason! These whole Garlic Dill Pickles are full of flavor, with the classic crisp and tart quality of a traditional pickle, packed with garlicky and dilly goodness. We use fresh whole cucumbers grown locally in the Sierra Nevada foothills at Feeding Crane Farm. We brine the cucumbers the day after harvest. This dedication to using super fresh produce results in the crunchiest of pickles. We pack the jar by hand into our sea salt and vinegar brine. Unlike most commercial pickles you will find, which are made using distilled white vinegar, we make ours with apple cider vinegar. We do this because it is a naturally fermented product that holds much more nutritional value than distilled vinegar. It also imparts a little of its own mild, slightly sweet, and fruity flavor to create a more complex and interesting tasting pickle. We add whole garlic cloves, beautiful flowering dill, and our blend of whole spices to give this preserve its unique flavor. These dill pickles are rounded out with our spice mix consisting of mustard seed, coriander seed, celery seed, whole peppercorns and dill seed. Perfect to snack on alone or added to your burger or sandwich. Ingredients: Pickling cucumbers, apple cider vinegar, water, salt, fresh garlic, flowering dill, mustard seed, coriander, celery seed, peppercorns and dill seed. 16oz/454g Read more → Quick View Chocolate Habañero Chipotle Hot Sauce 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ $14.00 Our best-selling hot sauce, we make this Chocolate Habanero Hot Sauce using fully ripe chocolate habaneros. Despite the name, we do NOT add chocolate to this hot sauce, it instead refers to the name of the variety of pepper we use. What are chocolate habaneros? They are about two times more spicy than a regular habanero, and they have an earthy, rich, smoky quality that compliments the sweetness of the pepper. We add our house smoked chipotles to this sauce, which we smoke outside using seasoned oak wood, contributing to the hot sauces' smoky flavor. One of our spicier hot sauces, this smoky sauce packs a punch! We make all our hot sauce with fresh produce grown on small, sustainably run farms in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. All our hot sauces are handmade in small batches in our cannery in Colfax, California. We use peppers grown in the hot Sierra summer imparting robust spicy heat and harvested in the fall when they are fully ripened by the mountain sun. We add apple cider vinegar to this hot sauce, giving it a more delicate flavor. The spicy smokey quality and high heat level make this sauce a crowd favorite. Heat level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Hot Ingredients: Fresh chipotles, chocolate habaneros, apple cider vinegar, fresh garlic and sea salt. 5oz/140g Read more → Quick View Fire Roasted Salsa $14.00 We make our fire roasted salsa with a mixture of heirloom and dry-farmed tomatoes that are roasted with onions, garlic and smoked jalapeños. Most commercial salsas are made using previously canned tomatoes that lack flavor, nutrition and connection to local farms. We use a variety of heirloom paste tomatoes from local Feeding Crane Farm as well as delicious dry-farmed Early Girls from Two Dog Farm located on the California coast. Dry-farmed tomatoes are full of flavor, loaded with minerals because of their deep taproots and are a huge win for California, saving over ten gallons of water per pound of tomatoes harvested. We also smoke our own red jalapeños, grown by Feeding Crane Farm. All ingredients are char-roasted in ovens for about five hours, creating a real depth of flavor, medium heat level, umami salsa. We add salt and apple cider vinegar as the only natural preservatives. A smoky rich flavor makes this salsa one of our bestsellers. Ingredients: Dry-farmed tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, smoked red jalapeno peppers, onions, apple cider vinegar, fresh garlic and salt. 16oz/454g Read more → Quick View Triple Crown Blackberry Jam $16.00 The t",
