On the third night, we were served so much Japanese food we couldn't finish it all. On the second night, we had the recommended French cuisine. It was incredibly delicious. If you're staying on Sado Island, it's worth going just for this French restaurant. I'd only eaten foie gras twice before, and I thought it smelled like liver, and after hearing comments on TV, I wondered what was so good about it. But today completely changed my mind. Delicious! I want to eat it again. As expected of a chef who was a direct disciple of a French national treasure chef! I'm extremely satisfied. The first night of our three-night stay. I booked because of the good reviews about the food. Looking closely, I realized the chef is famous! The first day was Japanese food. A feast for fish lovers! The engawa (flounder fin) was thick, and the other sashimi was huge. The cod head! We licked the bones clean until only the bones remained. The thick, meaty fugu (pufferfish) hot pot was delicious when made into rice porridge. The facilities are a bit old for a public inn, but all the necessary amenities are provided. The cleaning is thorough and the meals are excellent, making it great value for money. Looking forward to tomorrow's French cuisine.

Located about an hour's drive north from Ryotsu Port. The owner, Chef Chita, is a former chef at "Ginza L'Osier," a restaurant that has received three Michelin stars for eight consecutive years. I had heard that this guesthouse was "impossibly difficult to book," due to the chef's cuisine and the proprietress's personality, so I was really looking forward to it. And I was truly impressed by Chef Chita's cuisine and the proprietress's thoughtfulness, which exceeded my expectations. That day, they had procured a 13kg octopus just for us, but only four suction cups were used in the dish. I felt that this reflected the chef's philosophy of hospitality. The highlight was undoubtedly the foie gras with a sauce directly taught to us by Chef Jacques Borie from his time at L'Osier. The bread, which the proprietress baked, disappeared in no time with the sauce; I ate about ten pieces! The Japanese breakfast was also incredibly generous, with sashimi and simmered dishes—more than we could eat. Located near the sea, this is a wonderful inn that I would recommend to families. I will definitely visit again.

We stayed here after finishing our sightseeing in Sado on the first day of the March long weekend. The French dinner was delicious. The Japanese breakfast, including the seaweed dishes, was also tasty. The only downside was that, contrary to the season and the weather that day, the bath water temperature was rather low, and it took quite a while for my body to warm up. As a result, I didn't feel like taking another bath after dinner or in the morning. Also, the bathing time in the evening was until around 10 pm, so if you couldn't bathe until around 11 pm or midnight, you had to rush to take a bath after dinner.
