- On the third night, we were served so much Japanese food we couldn't finish it all. On the second night, we had the recommended French cuisine. It was incredibly delicious. If you're staying on Sado Island, it's worth going just for this French restaurant. I'd only eaten foie gras twice before, and I thought it smelled like liver, and after hearing comments on TV, I wondered what was so good about it. But today completely changed my mind. Delicious! I want to eat it again. As expected of a chef who was a direct disciple of a French national treasure chef! I'm extremely satisfied. The first night of our three-night stay. I booked because of the good reviews about the food. Looking closely, I realized the chef is famous! The first day was Japanese food. A feast for fish lovers! The engawa (flounder fin) was thick, and the other sashimi was huge. The cod head! We licked the bones clean until only the bones remained. The thick, meaty fugu (pufferfish) hot pot was delicious when made into rice porridge. The facilities are a bit old for a public inn, but all the necessary amenities are provided. The cleaning is thorough and the meals are excellent, making it great value for money. Looking forward to tomorrow's French cuisine.
