Most thriving and organized thrift boutique I have ever been to. The staff are informative, funny, and incredibly helpful to find the things I search for and questions on shoes, clothes and jewelry. And you can't beat the prices!! Great finds everything I stop by

This is not your normal thrift store. Its inventory is of higher quality than your normal store of this type, but the prices are still quite good and align with other thrift shops. In other words, you will get more or higher quality for your money here. This isn’t a huge store - certainly not compared to a normal-sized Goodwill. Also, they refuse to do what many small thrift stores do and pack the showroom until it’s overfilled and hard to walk through. So there is less inventory out, but it’s easy to see and get to. The aisles are kept clear, the shelves are clearly arranged, and everything is clean and bright. It makes finding what you’re looking for easy and fast. The only possible downside is that if the store were larger, they could have more inventory out. But this store would be worth a visit no matter its size. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy thrifting, especially when it's for a good cause, but I just cannot add this store to my list of regular thrift spots. While there is a large selection of items, I find them extremely overpriced for a thrift store and many items are dirty. I mean, really dirty. If you shop there, make sure you clean your items well before you wear or use anything. As for my photos: I bought the earrings, I left the shoes.

I really miss seeing David, the manager’s face and experiencing his respectful, kind, and welcoming nature at the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop in Novato. Unfortunately, the vibe of the shop has changed significantly. Instead, I’ve been confronted with Jeff, whose rude and arrogant attitude, combined with what comes across as a “know-it-all” demeanor and a very high opinion of himself, has made the experience extremely unpleasant. The difference in customer service and overall atmosphere is honestly disappointing. I used to enjoy coming into the shop, but I won’t be shopping there when Jeff is working. It’s unfortunate that one person’s attitude can change the entire feel of a place that should be welcoming and community-oriented.

The American Cancer Society Discovery Shop in Novato is a true hidden treasure. Once I started going, I couldn’t stop returning! Every visit brings unique finds at great prices, and no two days are ever the same. David, who runs the store, is incredibly kind. He always makes my kids feel welcome and somehow finds something they can afford, even if they only have a dime to spend. That generosity says a lot about the heart behind this shop. The store supports an important cause, and it’s the only thrift store I’ve visited that feels warm and inviting. Everything is clean, well organized and beautifully displayed, which makes shopping genuinely fun. It’s a great place to discover one-of-a-kind items you won’t find anywhere else.
