Normally, I have a great experience at this Safeway, and most staff are fantastic. But today, one lady was extremely rude. After I requested cashback, she yelled at me in front of my family, saying, 'Why don’t you read the sign? You need to read the sign!' Even worse, she had been yelling at another customer she was helping before me. The technician was surprised, too. This was really out of character, and I hope the management addresses this.

I’ve shopped at this store for decades. But recently, I’ve noticed that all the chicken in the meat department was either past the expiration date, or very close to it. There was a cheerleader of an assistant manager, very dapper, telling an employee, ‘ we don’t wish for things here, we make them happen’, and yet they don’t care that there is a very limited supply of chicken, and most of it is past the date?

This is about what they’re doing about this man who lives in his RV in the parking lot. I don’t understand where they allow it. It really creeps me out now sometimes when I’m parked, he’ll cut me off almost feels like stalker. I wish they would take rid of this guy or give him limited amount of time because he basically resides in this parking lot.

10/10 if you like crowded isles and chemicals in your food. Safeway is actually good for having options, and Friday deals. We've become more health conscious lately and can't find many good options anywhere but here's a tip, if the ingredient list is a mile long, don't eat it.

I was genuinely impressed with the size of this Safeway and how well-organized and fully stocked it was. We stopped here for the first time on our way back to San Francisco to pick up a few items, and it turned out to be a very easy, stress-free shopping experience. The aisles were wide and clearly labeled, the produce section looked fresh and abundant, and everything felt clean and thoughtfully laid out. I was able to find almost everything quickly, which is not always the case in a new store. For the one item I couldn’t locate, I asked a staff member for help, and she immediately stopped what she was doing, walked me directly to it, and was friendly and genuinely helpful the entire time. That kind of customer service makes a difference. The store also has ample parking and is easy to access right off Diablo Avenue, making it a convenient stop if you’re passing through Novato or heading back toward the city. Definitely a location I’d return to.
