I can easily say that my experience was outstanding. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and was swiftly guided where I needed to be. Ari was beyond helpful and kind. That man needs to be the face of the organization in some greater fashion. I was in and out in no time, the price was right and I was educated on how things operate. The only info you really need to know is, keep the product separated and only bring like materials. pretty simple. I would roundly reject the 1 star experiences with a nice Hamlet quote " The Lady doth protest too much me thinks" Well done people, well done.

Easily the best dump in Novato. As soon as you drive in, the aroma teases your nose with the treasures in store. The ambiance and decor is stunning...it's an ever changing landscape of style and discovery. You never know what to expect: sometimes the public landfill area is to the left, other times to the right. It's a delicate dance of dirt and scents mixed with the enticing tones and dulcet chords produced by backhoes and complex digging machines expertly manuvered by their skilled performers. Flocks of mischievous birds playfully taunt visitors with their plaintive calls. I go here once or twice a year to dispose of the junk that accumulates at home and the Novato Landfill is always eager to accept my tributes. This is my go-to choice for all of my dumping needs. It's really a fabulous place worth visiting just for the overall asthetic and professional service. Leave a truckload of garbage and return home with a treasured memory.

Heads up to everyone. (This is the first time I have ever left a review of any business but I felt I had to say something). I loaded some household stuff into my old Lexus 330 - drove up to the pay booth and was told the minimum charge is now $84. I honestly thought it was a hidden camera prank, but no, that’s what I ended up paying. I’ll happily spend more money on gas than encourage this kind of price gouging, the minimum price has almost doubled!👎

I can no longer recommend this place nor will I return. I'm there dumping materials at least once a week in my short bed Nissan Frontier. I've never had the bed completely filled and was always charged anywhere from $50-$70. Pull up to the window, pay, dump, and leave. Today I pulled up to the window to dump my 50 pound dresser, small mirror, and baby gate and was told to get in line and get on the scale. I was then told my dump would be $89 as this was the minimum charge. This may be the new norm but I took the load immediately to the nearest dump and paid $25...as a small business owner this new $89 minimum won't work for me.

Redwood Landfill has been a convenient place for homeowners to take “more than a trash can sized load” for years. Today I went with my Suburban loaded with large tree branches and misc wood from projects around the house. Ten plus large trucks waiting to go in were ahead of me with no option for the “public access” lane they used to have. Apparently ALL vehicles must now be weighed. I had to wait in line for half an hour just to get in as Redwood Landfill has changed to a new system. Slow is an understatement only made worse by no new signage at the landfill or info on the website explaining changes. Website still has 2016 info while landfill signs still direct the public to lane 3. The new (not improved) system isn’t explained until the vehicle is on the scale where you are informed that all this waiting will also cost residents more money as fees have gone up. Again no info posted anywhere about this. Leaving the DUMP required waiting in line again to be weighed and to pay. A long long line of big trash haulers as the landfill employees spend more time typing paperwork using one finger at a time. Finally paid for the “service” provided, $102.87. I figure my load cost me 28.5 cents a pound and over an hour of waiting in line for using Redwood Landfill. Bureaucratic inefficiency at its finest as I saw at least 8 folks trying to sort out this new system. I won’t be back.
