I have been a part of Sensei Jordan's dojo since I first brought my son, almost 10 years ago, to train with his friends. Two years later, on a Father's Day special, I joined myself and haven't looked back. Working with Sensei Jordan Penman, and the entire dojo family, has kept me focused on health and training in the face of job demands and other life pressures. I am a much healthier, happier, stronger, more flexible, more balanced and confident person going into my later years than I would have been without the Kenpo system, training program and series of goals that Sensei Jordan has created. Fighting is the core of Kenpo, but the value comes from everything required to become a fighter. And now -- after 10 years: on to Brown belt...

North Bay Kenpo has been amazing for my family! I was on the hunt for a martial arts studio that could teach me practical self defense and at North Bay Kenpo I get that and soooooo much more! Being a woman whom has been in some shady situations (not by choice), I have wanted to learn self defense for a long time. However, I have hesitated to do so due to being concerned that I might hurt myself by needing to wrestle with others or by being thrown around. I was also concerned about being in a too overly competitive "agro" setting. At North Bay Kenpo, everyone is so kind and respectful. People are humble and helpful. Sensei Jordan has truly created a unique environment and his dojo feels like a genuine community! The martial arts Sensei Jordan teaches is practical, highly effective, can be quickly applied, and is achievable for people in all walks of life, fitness levels, and goals. He and his team truly meet you were your at. My husband, 5 year old son, and I LOVE going to the dojo! It's are favorite part of our day! Thank you Sensei Jordan for sharing your art and passion! It has been such an honor to learn from you!

The greatest dojo ever for us. It feels like a family. We have been there with our kids for almost 15 years. This school has helped our kids tremendously throughout their lives and education. Highly recommended, great senseis.

Amazing sensei. Jordan has created something that has been such a huge influence on our lives. My kid has been working with this dojo for about 18 months. She’s gained so much confidence and sense of belonging. The entire group works with students of all ages, abilities and skills. During the summer they have Dojo Summer Camp which she LOVES.

Starting my training here more than three years ago has been a life-changer for me. I'm stronger, my balance is better, and my reflexes have improved. All my Senseis work with me where I'm at. A karate lesson is my go to when I'm having a bad day!
