Great sandwiches require great bread - and Michael’s Sourdough delivers. Efficient service ensures a long line moves swiftly. The bread and flavors of the sandwich were fantastic, although the amount of meat was low in my opinion.

I’m from out of town. I thought I might check this place out as it had pretty good reviews. Got a pastrami on rye and I hate caraway seeds. The owner was gracious enough to replace it with a dark rye that had no seeds. Bread was fresh and inner ingredients were equally fresh. I thought it was kind of pricey, but I think that is probably the going rate. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. If I’m ever in Novato again I would come here for sure.

Great sandwich. I'm usually one to customize a sandwich order; no tomato, extra mayo, different cheese, that kind of thing. Something about Michaels sandwiches menu/vibe made me leave the roast beef on sourdough sandwich totally default.. with the choice of brown mustard (versus yellow). The bread was chewy and bubbly with a firm crust that gave with a good bite. It was also light on the sour dough tanginess which is a big plus for me as I usually avoid sourdough. The toppings and condiments where fresh and perfectly proportioned making it greater than the sum of its parts. The creole potato salad is notably delicious with some unique flavors and should be ordered too. The macaroni salad was good, but nothing to write home about. The place was casual and no frills, as was the service. Straight to the point and the sandwich and sides ready before I even finished paying by their team. The pickle spear is a lovely touch too. All in all this was super filling and delicious and about 22 bucks (I left a 15% tip cause why not).. that's a Snapple, two sides and the sandwich, totally fair price. The chip and drink selection was extensive. If I lived in the area I would be here every week. Go here.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! Google Business says open, the online orders are open but the store front says closed till August 24th! We prepaid $50+ for sandwiches that we can not get. Who forgets to turn off their online ordering these days? This is an insane business practice… FIX THIS NOW!

the bread is amazing. all the ingredients are great but for $13 for a basic sandwich Id expect more meat and maybe a little more on the sandwich. this was my second time there. I thought maybe the first time was a fluke but it was the same.
