Jessica, the bartender, is a rock star! She was a master making drinks and was also the server for the tables in the Speakeasy side of the place. She looked like she was super busy the whole time we were there and was still very attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I don't drink so I can't say much about the cocktails but my partner and friends really enjoyed the beverages they ordered. A friend of mine loved her food but mine was just okay. I got the salad, which was fine, but nothing special. There was a gentleman at the host's stand that was a bit rude when we came in. I get that things are busy and that there have probably been customers who didn't treat him kindly but that is no excuse for being rude to other customers.

Came for happy hour. We both agreed the chicken livers was the best. The burger was also delicious. He loves the polenta more than I did. The Old Fashioned was amazing. I tried some of the beers. Will return. This place is in the Pado square next to the Firearms store with the painted red tollbooth doors.

My Dad came down from Cloverdale on the SMART train and we had lunch at the Board Room restaurant in Ignacio. This was our first time there and we were very impressed. We arrived at 1:45. There were about 5 or 6 patrons at the bar and a table of 3 or 4 in the main dining room. The waitress was covering the bar and the dining room. A very pleasant woman who visited us often. The food was wonderful. My Dad and I split the Caesar salad. I had the fish and chips and my Dad had a club sandwich with fries. We could not have asked for a better lunch. I highly recommend.

The Boardroom is quite the find. We were staying overnight at a nearby hotel and were intrigued by the restaurant and reviews were solid so we gave it a try. As others have mentioned it's in a somewhat non-descript strip center but when you enter it's another world, dark and intimate with period decor and a live piano player on Saturday when we dined. The food was fantastic, my wife had the brined and smoked pork chop and I selected the Salmon, both were excellent. They had a smore vegan tart desert which was delicious. Drinks were also good but as some others have mentioned they were a little slow to come out but they made it right. Highly recommended!

If you want to go back in time and enjoy a great meal this is the place. It reminds me of a fine dining restaurant in San Francisco I did my culinary internship at in the 80s. Leather booths, dim lights, cool old Hollywood pics from the 50's, Escargot, Caesar salad, Lamb Shank, and even a speakeasy connected to it! Don't be discouraged that it is in a small strip mall. Once you enter, you are in a different era!
