Lady at the register said it would take twenty minutes to do my return, and said, I don't even think we return this.I have to check with my manager. The girl with the piercings on her face said that was fine.Last week. So I don't know why it would take 20 minutes. She said she would have to type in every number on there. Because their system doesn't scan it.And then suggested, I make up a fake name and open a pal's account so it would be easier on her. I work in customer service and this sucks.

We recently stopped by the Petco at the Vintage Oaks shopping center in Novato, and I was truly impressed by the staff. We were looking for a particular dog food for our little one, Poppy, who has a few health issues, including allergies. While they didn’t have the exact product we were after, the team was incredibly helpful and approachable. They took the time to talk with us about Poppy’s specific needs and shared valuable insights on what to consider in our search for the right food. It’s so refreshing to encounter a team that is not only informed but also genuinely compassionate. We left feeling much more assured and knowledgeable, and we will definitely come back. My friend and I showed up to this story at 8:15 pm and I kindly asked this strange girl employee with a nose ring on a Wednesday if I could pick out a few fish and she replied rolling her eyes “we don’t typically give out fish within an hour of closing” which I totally understand and was willing to leave! The weird part was that she then made an exception for me which was nice, but upon picking out 2 fish she made a comment that she doesn’t think these fish will make my 10 gallon tank with only one small fish in it too crowded and she “doesn’t want these fish to go home in an unsafe environment with their owner.” I thought that was super weird and she was very skeptical of me as an owner and of my fish tank which she knows nothing about, especially considering the fact I’ve owned fish tanks for over 15 years. She was giving a serious attitude and kept rolling her eyes every fish I tried to point out saying that there was not enough time for this. So I just walked out. I feel bad because all the other employees were nice and seemed normal but for some reason the closing girl seemed to have some kind of attitude problem and seemed more interested in looking at her phone than helping people out.

The actual delivery was great however, once I ordered it, I realized that I had the wrong food. I have a kitten and this was adult food so I looked all over the website for a place to cancel it. You know like Amazon …. you cancel an order if you do it quickly enough. No such place …. so the next morning I called and the gal said it was already being processed so she couldn’t cancel it so now I have to take the two boxes of food to the Petco and be reimbursed. It’s crazy. I’m a disabled person and it’s very difficult for me to do these things. That’s why I order things online. Please put a spot on your website on your ordering online website to be able to cancel an order within a certain period of time like a few hours!

Plenty of pet foods and supplies for all types of animals. A wide variety of fish available in the aquarium area. Some snakes, birds, hamsters and guinea pigs available to purchase as well. Staff was friendly and helpful.
