**Principle:** Self-explaining payload — no external context required. This _self block describes what you are reading and where to look next.

**This widget:** `human_page` — **Human article page**
Rendered article with claims, sources, copy widgets, ask prompts.
- **article slug:** `convergence-c21`
- **contains:** rendered article, copy widgets, claims, sources, ask prompts
- **how to use:** Use Copy for LLM or Copy system map — both paste without context.

### Logical proof (verify each step)
1. Articles are voxel graphs of tiered claims, not prose blobs. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/articles/constitution
2. Claims link to hash-chained sources via source_ids. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/articles/convergence-c21/sources
3. Ask reads topology; ingest/claim append to ledger. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/protocol
4. Models queue growth: populate → collaborate → repair → reflex. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/protocol/grow
5. Graph proves its own shape (reflex) and $/claim (yield). → https://miscsubjects.com/graph.html?layer=reflex
6. Full feature index + _explain on every API response. → https://miscsubjects.com/api/articles/system-map

EMERGENCE / "MORE IS DIFFERENT"

System notes

You cannot scale a law. You must replace it. Scale introduces new causation, new entities, and new laws that the parts cannot imagine.

Philip Anderson's 'More Is Different' (1972) established that reduction to fundamental laws does not confer the ability to reconstruct the universe from those laws. Higher levels are not derivable; they are autonomous.

Superconductivity is an emergent collective phenomenon. Cooper pairs and zero resistance are not properties of a single electron but inventions of the electron crowd in a lattice.

The falsifier of emergence is successful reduction: derive superconductivity from one electron without invoking Cooper pairs, or consciousness from one neuron without invoking networks.

Social institutions, languages, and market prices emerge from individual choices but constrain the individuals that produce them. No individual designed the system, yet the system maintains patterns individuals did not author.

Consciousness and grief are emergent properties of neural wiring. No single neuron grieves; the pattern lives in the connections and timing between neurons.

The honest limit: we do not know if emergence is a real ontological feature of the world or an epistemological convenience. The rival reductionist frame (Weinberg) remains undecidable.
