I’m writing to share a concern regarding my experience at your post office on Tuesday, July 15. I had been informed on Monday, July 14, that passport renewals were handled on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 3:15 PM. Following that instruction, I arrived at the post office at that time to renew my passport. Unfortunately, when I approached the counter, I and several others were met with a staff member who appeared visibly upset and overwhelmed. She raised her voice from across the counter, stating that she hadn’t had a lunch break and told me to speak with her supervisor if I had any concerns. She then walked away, leaving a number of customers without assistance. I understand that everyone has difficult days and that staff need proper breaks, but the manner in which this situation was handled felt unprofessional and left me and others feeling uncomfortable and dismissed.

Abysmal level of service. The mail carrier who serves Indian Valley of Novato is a miserable employee of the USPS. This is expressed in his passive aggressive behavior toward residents through bogus mail holds, parcels thrown over fences from his delivery truck at speed, regularly damaged parcels, and leaving parcels outside of mailboxes in full access to the public. The postmaster has been non-responsive to pleas for resolution from residents over a myriad of problems expressed to her.

Worst xustomer service + automated phone system I have encountered in a decade. Never was able to get an agent on the line, hence my question wasn't resolved nor was I able to take the survey. How about letting local high-schools design a better system, and operate it? Real life work experience project for the modern era, while serving the community.

I’ve visited the location 3x now and can see exactly why the ratings are so poor. How entitled are the old heads working here. As-if you have a question or need help. The pretentious attitude of the two older women and their snarky + passive aggressive comments at each and every customer. No one picked the career for you. Be happy and have a better attitude.

It's a post office. Go to any post office and you have a very similar experience. Generally the people are friendly, though not always. They do seem a little entrenched - most have been there a while. But I find them generally - not always - pretty helpful. And sometimes you can actually walk in there and not wait in line, which is more a function of a suburban post office than this particular one. I think you always have to be ready for anything when you use the USPS. Take a breath people. Be grateful it still exists.
