We visited here last week on a last minute trip up north. The hotel is very plain, two queen beds, a desk, TV, dorm fridge, and no hassle internet. Bathroom was a sink, toilet and shower. We had adequate towels, and the rooms are clean. They included one soap bar, one lotion, in a very small lotion tube, a small tissue box, and one roll of toilet paper for disposable goods. Location is at the south end of town, with good highway access, and a fairly short drive to everything Novato has to offer. The provided breakfast, was barely basic. Coffee, and some pre-packaged bagels, waffle, and even a danish if you went early enough. They did not refill the bins when we were there, so by 9am ish, most of the food was already gone. Also note this is the cheapest, genetically engineered food they can buy, so I personally wouldn't even touch it, regardless. Desk help was a friendly indian fellow, personable. Not chatty, and not a helpful tour guide either. They were easy going, and didn't bother declaring hotel rules, or even charge a deposit, which was nice. So even though the place is about as barren as a hotel can be, i would still go back. Price was competitive, and the rooms were clean and bug free. Location was okay, not near any of the best parts of town, but they weren't far away either. A good low price leader, i'd say. Internet was actually good. It was about 30M, so not super fast, but it didn't have any of the latest annoyances the large hotel chains force on you, either. It too was reliable and utilitarian, no drop outs during our entire visit. So good overall, recommended budget hotel.
