If you have the jewelry in your possession, please feel free to send images and any other information (including if there are any certificates included with the pieces). I would be happy to have our specialists review.
Once you have possession of the jewelry, we would need to have proper documentation that the estate has good title to the pieces and letters testamentary showing that you are the executor of the estate. If the jewelry does not have GIA or AGL certificates then we would have to send the pieces for testing before confirming final estimates (i.e., any estimates we could provide initially would be subject to the outcome of the testing). From there we do offer Sotheby’s Financial Services where we may be able to offer an advance on the consignment of 50% of the low estimate.
The first step will be to receive images of the pieces once they are in your possession and you have good title and our specialists can assess from there.
