An illustration. The business and the customer are made up.
Which line?
Your own number
The number you already advertise, registered to iMessage. Two to five days; carrier check first.
iMessage · your own number
An iMessage line on the phone number your business already uses, answered by an AI assistant.
Two ways to get an iMessage line for your business: the number you already have, registered to iMessage so nothing changes for your customers; or a dedicated line we provision today. Either way the assistant answers on it, inside the permissions you set, and every message is recorded in the Ledger.

What it does
What the assistant does on it.
Missed call → text in 60 seconds
The phone rings out, the caller gets a text from your number within a minute, and it books the job into the hours you opened.
Replies within the permissions you set
It quotes only the prices you approved, books only into the hours you opened, and answers only the people you named.
Invoices, bookings, confirmations
A Stripe invoice dropped into the thread. A calendar invite. A “20 minutes out.” All from your number.
Says what it is
Customers and leads are told it is an assistant when they ask, and it hands to a person the moment the conversation goes somewhere it shouldn't.
Every message is recorded
Each message is written to the Ledger (a record of every request and response the system handles): when it was sent, delivered and read, and what it said. You can read it; message text is not published.
What it never does
Two ways to get the line
Two ways to get the line: your existing number, or a new number we set up.
The number you already advertise becomes an iMessage identity.
Nothing changes on your phone. Your customers keep the thread they already have with you, your caller ID matches your listing and your invoices, and the assistant replies from the same number you have used for years.
Two to five daysVerification
Apple's one-time code on your line
- 1Carrier checkWe test whether your line can pass Apple's verification. Most mobile carriers can. Hosted VoIP and some ported lines cannot, and we tell you before you pay anything.
- 2RegistrationYour number is registered as an iMessage identity on hardware we operate for you. Apple sends a one-time code to your line; you read it to us on the call. Your phone keeps working exactly as before.
- 3The assistantTrained on how you talk, the prices it may quote, the hours it may book, and who it may answer.
- 4LiveBlue bubbles to iPhones, RCS or SMS to everyone else, from the number people already know.
A new number we provision, live today.
For a second line, for a location, or when your own number cannot pass verification. It runs on managed infrastructure, sends unlimited threads, and carries the same assistant and the same rules. If you later move to your own number, the history comes with you.
Same dayVerification
None
- 1Pick the area codeLocal to your customers.
- 2The assistantThe same AI assistant and the same permissions as on your own number, and every message recorded in the Ledger.
- 3Live in a dayUsually the same afternoon.
- 4Yours to keepThe number is assigned to you. If we part ways you keep it.

The actions behind the line
Everything this line can do is a list of actions in the Directory.
actions in the Directory that this line uses
The Directory is a table where each row is one action the system can run, such as sending an iMessage or checking whether a number can receive one. Each action runs through dispatch: one web address that looks the action up, checks your permissions, runs it and returns the result. Every run is written to the Ledger, a record of each request and response, so you can see what was sent, to whom and when.

Examples
The number and the AI assistant: what each one is, with examples.
Your existing business number, registered with Apple so it can send and receive iMessages. The AI assistant reads, searches and replies in the conversations customers already have with you, following the permissions you set for each person.
- 1A call is missed at 2:18. The caller gets a text from your number at 2:19. The job is booked at 2:21.
- 2Someone asks whether Thursday is free. The assistant checks your calendar, replies the way you write, and books the time.
- 3It quotes only prices you approved, and passes the conversation to you as soon as a question is outside its permissions.
An AI model that reads and replies to messages on your number. It reads only the information you switched on, does only the actions you allowed, replies only to the people you named, and when it cannot help it says which permission is missing.
- 1Replies to leads, customers, friends and family on your number, the way you write.
- 2Takes instructions from you in the same conversation: move an appointment, tell a customer you are running late, send an invoice.
- 3Every action it takes is written to the Ledger, where you can read what it did, with what input, and what came back.
Questions
Can any number be used?
Most numbers on a mobile carrier can. Many hosted VoIP lines and some ported numbers cannot complete Apple's verification. We check on the first call and tell you before you commit. Where it cannot be done, a dedicated line works the same way for everything except the old thread history.
Is this sanctioned by Apple?
iMessage is Apple's product and we use Apple's standard device verification to register the line. Apple can deregister an identity; when that happens we re-verify with you, and the dedicated line is the fallback so your customers are never unanswered. We are not affiliated with Apple.
Do my customers know they are talking to an assistant?
When they ask, yes, and it hands to you the moment it should. Pretending otherwise gets found out on the first visit and costs you the job.
What happens to my phone?
Nothing. Your phone keeps ringing, texting and receiving exactly as before. The registration adds an iMessage identity for the number on hardware we operate; it does not move your number anywhere.
What about Android customers?
They get the same thread over RCS where their carrier supports it, otherwise SMS. The assistant replies the same way; the Ledger entry shows which one was used.
What do I keep if we stop?
The number, the threads, the assistant's configuration, the integrations and the whole Ledger of what was sent.
