Browser · 6 parts

What the system can do in a web browser.

It uses browsers signed in to your accounts: Chrome or Safari on your Mac, separate browser profiles for each account, or a browser on Cloudflare’s servers that runs without your Mac. It fills in forms, clicks, reads pages and takes screenshots, and every step is recorded.

Automation on your devices

Part by part

What the system can do on a web browser, part by part.

Each thing it can do on those devices is an action in the Directory, run through one address, and recorded in the Ledger.

Part 1 of 6

Signed-in profiles

Each account you use (an ad account, a store, a bank) gets its own browser profile, signed in as you. Profiles are kept apart, so a sign-in in one never appears in another. The system uses the accounts you already have, not a set of fake ones.

Examples

  1. 1Your ad account, your store and your payment account are each used from their own profile.
  2. 2Each profile is kept separate, so one account’s sign-in never leaks into another.
  3. 3A profile can be limited to viewing: for a bank, it can read the balance but has no permission to move money.

Reading a page

A small script runs inside a page you are signed in to and reads a value from it, such as a total on a dashboard. A website with no API becomes a number in a spreadsheet cell.

Examples

  1. 1A supplier’s stock page is checked every morning; you get a text only when it changes.
  2. 2A total is read from a dashboard that has no export button.
  3. 3A form is filled in on an old web tool that has never been automated.

Scripted steps

A browser automation program (Playwright) carries out fixed steps in order: fill in a field, click, wait, take a screenshot. The whole run is written to the Ledger as one entry.

Examples

  1. 1A booking is confirmed on a site that only offers a form.
  2. 2A screenshot is taken at every step and kept.
  3. 3The same steps run again every night, or whenever a text asks for it.

Part 4 of 6

AI agent

An AI agent in the browser is given a goal in words instead of fixed steps. It works out the clicks itself and keeps a screenshot of each step it took.

Examples

  1. 1“Find the invoice for March and download it”, done on a site it has not used before.
  2. 2A cancellation page that changes every month is still completed.
  3. 3Six screenshots and a Ledger entry show exactly what it clicked.

Part 5 of 6

Cloud browser

A browser on Cloudflare’s servers takes screenshots, copies the content of pages and follows links on a schedule, without your Mac. It can run while your Mac is off.

Examples

  1. 1Competitor prices are copied into a spreadsheet row at 6 a.m.
  2. 2A website is checked once a week for pages that changed.
  3. 3A screenshot of your listing is taken and kept every day.

Part 6 of 6

Screenshots and records

Every step keeps its screenshot, every downloaded file its location, and every run its entry in the Ledger. You can check exactly what was done in your accounts.

Examples

  1. 1“What did it do in the ad account last night?” is answered with the screenshots.
  2. 2A dispute is settled with the recorded screenshots, not with memory.
  3. 3Recorded steps are never overwritten.

The actions behind this page

Each of these is an action in the Directory, the table of everything the system can run.

146

actions in the Directory for your iPhone, your Mac, web browsers and cloud computers, counted on 27 September 2026. These are the Browser actions.

Browser

  • Your logins, one isolated profile per identity
  • Fill, click, screenshot with a driver
  • An agent given a goal, not a script
  • Fetch, scrape, crawl, PDF, from the cloud
