iPhone · 7 parts

What the system can do on your iPhone.

It works through Apple Shortcuts, the iPhone app that runs a series of actions, including actions offered by your other apps. Your iMessages are read and sent through the Messages app on a Mac signed in to the same Apple account. Below is each part of the iPhone the system can use, what it does there, and examples.

Automation on your devices

Part by part

What the system can do on your iPhone, part by part.

Each thing it can do on those devices is an action in the Directory, run through one address, and recorded in the Ledger.

Part 1 of 7

Triggers

A Shortcuts automation can start when something happens on the phone: it arrives at or leaves a place, it is tapped on an NFC sticker, the battery reaches a level, a Focus mode turns on, or it connects to Bluetooth or CarPlay. The automation tells the system, which can then run any action you allowed.

Examples

  1. 1When your iPhone arrives home, the system unlocks a smart door lock, turns on the lights and texts a person you chose that you are home.
  2. 2Tapping an NFC sticker in the van starts your working hours: the AI assistant begins replying to customers for you.
  3. 3A voice note recorded on the phone is turned into text, then into a task and a draft reply.

Part 2 of 7

Shortcuts

The system can run any Shortcut on your iPhone. Any app that offers actions to the Shortcuts app can be used the same way. A Shortcut can be started by a text message, by a rule you set, or by another action.

Examples

  1. 1A customer texts asking for a time. A Shortcut reads your calendar, creates the event and replies with the time booked.
  2. 2A Focus mode can change what the AI assistant does: while Driving is on it replies for you; while Work is on it passes conversations to you.
  3. 3If an app already offers Shortcuts actions, the system can use it without waiting for that company to build a connection.

Location and Maps

The system can know where the iPhone is when it arrives at or leaves places you set, and can get routes and travel times from Apple Maps. Your location is shared only with the people you choose, only on the triggers you set.

Examples

  1. 1A family member texts “Did you land?” and the AI assistant can answer from your real location, because location is on for that one person.
  2. 2A request for a quote arrives with the driving time to the customer’s address already worked out.
  3. 3When you leave a job, the next customer gets a text from your number: “20 minutes away”.

Part 4 of 7

Messages

The system can read, search and send iMessages on your own number, in the conversations people already have with you. Which people it may reply to is set person by person.

Examples

  1. 1Missed call at 2:18. A text from your number at 2:19. The job booked at 2:21.
  2. 2A friend asks about Thursday. The AI assistant checks your calendar, answers the way you write, and books the table.
  3. 3It only sends prices you approved, and it passes the conversation to you at the point you set.

Part 5 of 7

Safari

The system can open a web page, run a small script in it and read the result, using the sign-in you already have in Safari. It uses your own account, not a second one.

Examples

  1. 1Check a supplier’s stock page every morning and text you only when it changes.
  2. 2Copy a number from a website that has no API (no way for software to request its data) into a spreadsheet cell.
  3. 3Open a booking, read it and confirm it, after one text from you.

Part 6 of 7

Mail, Calendar, Contacts

The system can search and read your email, read your calendar and book only into hours you marked as open, and look people up in your contacts. It reads them in the apps where they already are.

Examples

  1. 1You learn that invoice 118 was opened at 8:41, because it was sent as an email that reports when it is opened.
  2. 2You ask to move the 3pm to 4:15; the event moves and the other person gets a text about it in your words.
  3. 3A new lead is matched to a contact you already have, so nobody types it in twice.

Part 7 of 7

The AI assistant

An AI model that reads and replies to messages on your number. It reads only what you allowed, does only what you allowed, and replies only to the people you chose. When it cannot help, it says which permission is off.

Examples

  1. 1It replies to friends, family, leads and customers from your number, written the way you write.
  2. 2You can text it instructions yourself: move a meeting, tell someone you are late, send a file, unlock a door.
  3. 3Every action it takes is written to the Ledger, a record you can read.

The actions behind this page

Each of these is an action in the Directory, the table of everything the system can run.

146

actions in the Directory for your iPhone, your Mac, web browsers and cloud computers, counted on 27 September 2026. These are the iPhone actions.

Tell me which device or task you'd automate first. I'll tell you what the system would do with it by Friday.
