Some of the trustlines are fake….. I was looking more closely at MintX.co - Highly irregular he is able to allegedly offer metals at 3% above spot. —- I reached out, spoke with him, story falls apart, it’s bull shit. — His gold, silver, and palladium actually present market opportunities to deal with the issue of liquidity and market fluctuations.

I also reached out to Smartlands. They failed to produce any actual product, are Eastern European, and - Their marketing rep pointed to a blog post that cites their tech as being effectively tangentially involved w/ a fundraising effort, which is an indicator it’s still in beta, and - That crypto is in a bubble if no one is noticing things like the above. But, there are I think within noticing these things opportunities.

When BTC is branded on metal it accrues significant value. When metals are purchased on peer to peer exchanges it results in a significant appreciation in for ex. A 1 Oz round (while spot is say $25, they are able to market it at say, well above 50% appreciation. And, separately the minting issue is financially nominal on inquiry.

In my view the volatility of TERN (which, isn’t any shortcoming, as, Remit has rather generous daily volatility, as do most others). - But, the volatility harms the integrity of the wallet since the wallet is now hard pegged at .014 while as previously as recently as 1 mo. ago it realized end of day USDT trading to reset the valuation, which presented problems… obviously.

Now that TERN is open to ETH : BTC : PAX : & USDT - I imagine the logic underlying the diversification is sound, however the practical result has been that ETH realized trade lows of .07c USD, comparable rates on BTC/TERN pairs.

— I believe that it’s quite harmful when traders, esp. crypto traders, make market movements in tandem w/ the crowd, and as a byproduct are breaking market volatility levels against their own favor.

ie: The TERN/XLM pair is currently strained because XLM is moving up, while as TERN is locked in, and the issue of guarding the liquidity levels is made harder when there is what is currently being experienced.

ie: Yesterday the XLM/TERN pair traded at normal levels (let’s say between .2-.4 seem to be the current range), but, a dump caused that to move to a low of .008 XLM / TERN which causes issues in real time trading.

Here are examples:

As a byproduct of the fact that Probits TERN wallet was under repair, I previously dumped my TERN at below .014 wallet rate, for perhaps under .012, so I could trade the USDT for XLM & then push out to the area where there was what appeared to be, less than .012 advantage / TERN to be had.

Now, if the wallet is going to recognize a hard rate of .014, then, countervailing forces and rules inhibit the ability of users to make accurate decisions in real time.

For ex:

Because the TERN wallet takes some hours to recognize TERN deposits, it’s preferable to avoid.

Because the TERN wallet takes 1 day to release TERN it’s preferable to avoid.

&

Because the TERN wallet recognizes a .014 rate - It’s preferable to avoid, when any observation of the markets shows that you’re better off holding a trade pair than holding in the wallet.

Now, one way to theoretically diminish this is to over cashback for staking (which I did at 6% and am now canceling). — it’s 150k TERN to stake at 6%, and that means you’ve set aside 150K tern which if you simple set 1/2 & 1/2 to buy on the high and low of daily / weekly volatility you’re better off with.

Meaning. When TERN hits a low of .1 almost twice a week, then those 150k sidelined TERN could have been sitting as XLM or a more stable coin, and trade against, and alternative vice versa.

It’s the rules - Which are causing people to make bad decisions. —- No one should be consciously dumping positions below .014 in their own self interest - Unless, the problems structurally which exist in sending TERN to the wallet and prospectively cashing back in being difficult, present themselves.

This is all to say, that, I admire the product, but, I don’t think the monetary benefits of the swap pools or the cashback (since it’s capped) - Do much.

There is a different way to modify the UI, and different ways to secure the liquidity, if you simply pull in some API’s, make some offerings in the same way as they might be offered in Paxful, and if you make a sub-coin (ie, Tern-X, or TERN-Ultra (whatever dumb name is market aligned). The user pool would guard the wallet rate, and buy when users make mistakes. But, that is only part of it.

If the sub pool has the advantage of time, and time cycling towards it, it has the advantage to buy & sell, not crypto, but, crypto signature products. (ie, there are trading mediums for buying metals or items of this nature, shall we say 20 under, and once they are thru branding, they can be sold for in excess of 20 over. —- So, if the pool serves the duality of let’s say - Alleviating intentional flaw to chase frivolous opportunities & if the pool can have modified rules to trade in / out to its MMF in line w/ trade times, and - If - in consideration of the nominal work of all of the above, if god forbid, the card suite did a Paxful adjacent offering to cash users in/out thru myriad mediums, by leveraging the MMF pooled money, now you’re in business.

You know, there’s a concept of I believe it’s 37 trades, 37 moves, that separate $1,000 & $1m assuming average gains of 20% and compound factoring.

I very much admire the product, but, there are many things to be done which wouldn’t take much effort, but, would result in much to be gained.

I have clients of scale, but, this product isn’t something I can encourage them to use.

I am always around, if any of you care to shoot the shit. —- I sometimes wish I could both play Goalie to stop the markets from making dumb moves, but, the opportunity cost is high, and, I can’t imagine you’d view it as selfless to catch all the shit trades.

As Ian knows Im not a trader… I suppose, Digital Architect. There is much to add, and test. I do look forward to seeing where it goes.

My family passed away in full as of this last year, which has left me with some substantive estate, so, I may be tapping into that equity - To take a more active role in the many opportunities I observe.

All The Best To You All,

CM
