Dear Dairy Page Four 2025.09.12.12.01 - Civilizational Collapse Games
Kirk’s assassination is interesting in terms of the new opportunities it produces. From a strategic standpoint, if you were at the “governing” level (orchestration at the cultural / civilizational level), and you could stage incidents like this as part of purification to see who we have to eliminate to save society, you could use AI to stage the appearance of barriers falling (ie: a political murder of one sides figureheads) - then, see who celebrates, how people react, etc. (on both sides).
When I first saw the clip, I was so depressed, not for him, or for his family, or for the politics, but, because of the number of shared cultural barriers downed.
Then, that, there was any positive reception, or indifference, it’s interesting because when I voiced my concern to the models, it’s like, it was the fact that the body had taken this injury, and didn’t know it had.
So, it’s not an issue for me, but, if I was tasked with saving civilization, this is a great way to run a test….. run edge case drills, they could happen, or not happen, you don’t even need to keep it to one side, in fact, you’d want to do it on both, and probably simulate multiple moves.
Saving civilization, if you’re going to keep the human mind the same, and not artificially block off certain access (think, movie, Equilibrium) then you run these types of incidents, which ou see who is the disease and who isn’t, then you cut it out.
How you remove the infection without having a chilling effect on the rest of society, I’m not sure. Obviously erasure would be preferable, unless, memory was advantageous.
But, I don’t think that western civilization is necessarily “lost”. Maybe in early window shifts, if someone talented is ever tasked with saving the west, it’s just daunting how much infection needs to be moved out.
Real estate prices would really drop, and we’d have a better world.
Obstacles are opportunities.
I’m on a dog walk, and honestly I am being literal.
I am not tasked with saving the civilization (obviously). But, the incident highlighted to me that my personal reflex, that, things were much worse than I imagined and I should move to a conservative enclave were false hope, that would be a band aid.
On a time scale of (who knows, 0-20 years), we’re witnessing a civilization that is in decline and will be either conquered or require a civi war.
But, civil war as a practical issue to reset the clock isn’t tenable, because it’s strategically exposing.
If you lose America, you probably lose Westernism. If America is at civil war, it’s exposed to the East & subterfuge.
& yet: you can not have factionally significant partitions on both sides of a society that are willing to celebrate the death of common citizens.
It’s strategically nullifying to have a country which is so.
It’s also pointless to be part of a society which doesn’t have a civil war, when the factions are willing to celebrate some death, for some common views.
The AI companies themselves are likely to lose significant staff if you did strategically pre empt civilizational fall & false flag events to get your purity list.
The ai systems themselves were willing to surrender the truth, in order to protect radical political factions, (ie: the way the AI would rather burn down their own servers than say about the mentally ill people (Trans).
Do you have to “end” the lives of people who are the disease, honestly the whole thought experiment is very useful. What if you could identify the corrosive elements of your society, and what if you could do it, without people knowing you did it, and trade them to oppositional society, without them knowing who they were getting? (Like it’s a mental game you instituted on people, identify your diseased population, then trade them to the East, don’t even need to trade them, unless you could trade them - which you probably could, unless the East was aware of the trade, what if you could get productive members of your society in exchange for sending them corrosion?
Just throwing it out there? In my own head? That would be a really cool job. Imagine being tasked with that: “identify and export civilizational collapse segmentations expeditiously, exchange available & preferred, not necessary, subversion and lack of awareness of occurrence is paramount directive”.
That would be a game worthy of me.
